🌍✨ Davana World Tour Part 53: Rakiraki Adventures!
After some unforgettable days on Drawaqa Island filled with snorkelling, diving, and partying, we returned to Nadi on Viti Levu's northern coast. From there, we embarked on a scenic 130 km drive to Rakiraki, our next stop in the quest for dolphins and history.
While in Rakiraki, we explored intriguing sites like the tomb of Ratu Udre Udre, the infamous 19th-century cannibal chief known for reportedly consuming over 800 victims. This city is where the famous Fiji Water is bottled, just 20 km west of the town.
One of our highlights was Moon Reef, a stunning marine protected area perfect for dolphin watching and snorkelling. This crescent-shaped reef off Tailevu's coast is home to a large pod of spinner dolphins, vibrant coral gardens, colourful fish, and even some sea turtles!
Rakiraki truly captivated us! A huge thank you to Morgan for sharing the incredible dolphin video with us. 🐬❤️ #RakirakiAdventures #DavanaWorldTour #TravelDiaries #FijiMagic #MoonReefDolphins
