Davana World Tour - part 51 Sawa-i-Lau Caves in the Yasawa Islands, Fiji.
Exploring the mystical Sawa-i-Lau Caves in the northern Yasawa is an unforgettable journey into the heart of Fiji. Locals say this island is the heart of the Yasawa and Fiji, where the mana, the country's magic, resides.
Rising 1,000 feet above sea level, this limestone marvel stands proud near Nabukeru Village. These caverns, steeped in legends of snakes, pregnant women, and a love-making rock soft as skin, hold secrets and stories passed down through generations.
The caves are known as the resting place of the legendary ten-headed god, Ulutini, with each chamber symbolising one of his nine snake heads. The energy and history here are truly captivating.
To top off our adventure, we spent our last night at Blue Lagoon Beach Resort. The team treated us to a delightful serenade, traditional dance, and an exquisite dinner with over six dishes. It was a night to remember! 🌊🏝️✨ #FijiMagic #YasawaIslands #TravelDiaries
